About

A Passionate Designer Who Finds Joy In Helping Others

I’m passionate about design and the projects I work on. With a diverse background in business, sociology, and web design, I want to do good in the world. One way I do good is by designing websites for those who care about issues like mental health awareness, animal welfare, and more. I’m also an author, and want to help other authors succeed. I’m open to working on projects from any industry, as long as they fit my values of embracing social good.

Designer Who Cares

A designer who cares about your business

“Designing a website that gives the best experience possible to clients and customers is what will keep them coming back.”

The Company

Worth It Designs provides web and graphic design services for those who embrace social good. Clients of any industry are welcome, especially those who are nonprofits, in the mental health industry, work with animals or animal welfare, and authors. Based in Georgetown, Ontario, Worth It Designs is part of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce.

Design goes far beyond just looks. It is vital to have a user-friendly website, and therefore much of the design process goes into the functionality of it. Designing a website that gives the best experience possible to clients, customers, and donators is what will hook them in and keep them coming back.

The name ‘Worth It Designs’ comes from my passion for mental health awareness. We are all worthy of love and belonging, no matter what our minds may tell us.

“My design education and experience allows for me to identify problem areas of your website that others may not be able to detect. By improving your website, it gives you a more professional and favourable impression. Just as important, it will allow you to reach your goals.”

The Designer

I, Michelle Balge, am the face behind Worth It Designs and graduated from Sheridan College’s Post-Graduate Web Design Certificate Program with Honours. I hold an Honours BA in Sociology with a Concentration in Critical Animal Studies from Brock University, and was one course shy of completing a minor in business because I chose to pursue web design studies instead.

As a designer, I pay great attention to detail and am a problem solver. It’s important to me that I am proud of my designs and that you are happy and excited about what’s being created. Just as important is that solutions are being implemented to eliminate problems you’ve been facing. My design education and experience allows for me to identify problem areas of your website that others may not be able to detect. By improving your website, it gives you a more professional and favourable impression. Just as important, it will allow you to reach your goals. Want more clients, customers, or donors? Want users to learn more about you? I will help you identify and reach your goals. Get started now, so users can fully appreciate all you have to offer.

Beyond my design career and education, I am a mental health advocate, author, and animal lover. I have lived experience with mental illness, and have spent years advocating for mental health awareness. I have written a memoir about my illnesses and recovery that is now an Amazon #1 Best Seller in Teen Depression, and am so happy it’s having a positive impact on others. I adore animals, am a vegetarian, and after taking animal related courses in university, I now have a deeper understanding of how brilliant they are. All of the above, plus more, make up who I am.
